The 12th CYONA Biennial Convention
"Celebrating Our Roots, Embracing Our Future"
This year, the theme of our convention is "Celebrating Our Roots, Embracing Our Future," which highlights the importance of recognizing the rich cultural heritage of the Chin people, while also looking forward to the future and the possibilities it holds for us as a community.
This theme acknowledges the challenges that come with living in a new country while still maintaining a connection to one's cultural roots. It explores the experiences and perspectives of Chin youth in North America, while also promoting cross-cultural understanding and appreciation. The theme emphasizes the importance of community support, as Chin youth navigate the complexities of being part of different cultures. It encourages them to share their stories and experiences, to learn from one another, and to celebrate the unique identity and cultural heritage of the Chin community.
